of or pertaining to the period in ancient Egyptian history described on cuneiform tablets (Amar'na tab'lets) that were found in 1887 at Tell el Amarna and contain the correspondence (Amar'na let'ters) from neighboring kings and governors to Amenhotep IV and his father Amenhotep III.
