car'bon disul'fide




a clear, colorless or faintly yellow, poisonous, flammable liquid, CS2, used chiefly in the manufacture of cellophane, viscose rayon, and pesticides and as a solvent for fats, resins, and rubber. Also called carbon bisulfide.
