Chem.
a white, crystalline, hygroscopic, poisonous solid, KHC2O4, that is usually hydrated: used chiefly for removing ink stains, cleaning metal and wood, and in photography. Also called salt of sorrel, sorrel salt, potas'sium ac'id ox'alate.
