Pronunciation: (pu-ren'thu-sīz"), [key]
v.t., -sized, -siz•ing.
1. to insert (a word, phrase, etc.) as a parenthesis.
2. to put between marks of parenthesis: to parenthesize the pronunciation of a word.
3. to interlard with parenthetic remarks, as a speech. Also, esp. Brit.,pa•ren'the•sise".
